It would also be advantageous to purchase a cheap pickup truck and utility trailer. You will be able to use your truck and trailer to pick up all of your materials. This will save you a lot of money from renting a truck. After you have built your tiny house you should be able to sell your truck and trailer for exactly the same price that you paid or maybe even more.
Finally, tell all of your friends and relatives that you are about to build a tiny home for yourself and your wife. This will serve a double purpose. It will let them know that you are in the market for cheap or free building materials and it will let them know that you are looking for help.
